Hey all, been a long time since I posted here. I have since got a brand new LX150 back in 2012 and never had any issues with it. (jeez it's been a long time since I posted here)

Anyway, got home from the grocery store this evening, turned off the bike to open the glove box to reach for my garage door opener and when I went to turn the bike back on it sounded like it wanted to start but almost like something shorted out? Kind of like a half crank and the light and instrument panel went super dim. Battery is only about a year old and when I put it on the trickle charger it said its at least 80% full.

Anyone have any similar experiences?

You might check the battery connections to be sure they are clean and tight.

Batteries died all of a sudden. Leave it on trickle charge overnight and try again.

If it died after a ride (that should have charged it up some) then you have a charging problem, or most likely, the battery is wonky. Yes, charge it up and check the connections.

hey guys thanks for the replies. After charging it last night I went to start and I can hear the starter clicking but it won't turn over. Occasionally when I'd try to start the bike it would take a couple of times and I just thought oh I may need to put it on the charger. All the connections are good, I did notice some acid on the battery but not on the post itself. I guess my next move will be to buy a battery and see what happens? I'm going to Motorsport to pick up a new GTS soon, so I'll probably just wait till then to grab a battery for the LX.

Late reply but I finally got around to grabbing a battery and threw in the bike and it fired right up! In hindsight I realized the last battery I installed I never put it on a trickle charger to fully charge it before using it. I did it this time and the bike has never started up so fast! Stoked! Thanks for your help guys.
