im in Delaware and have a 2008 LX50 that i recently picked up. the PO had electrical issue and melted some wire behind leg shield. i replaced wiring harness off another parted out LX50 that i had and everything connected without issue. Scooter runs great, BUT i have a wiring gremlin. blinkers/signal lights do NOT work. when i put headlamp on low beam the left blinker lights up, but does not blink. the right (curbside) blinker does not work or is getting power.

i checked all wiring and connections and there is no visible issue. since the wiring harness was melted when i got it, i suspect it may be something is the CDI....but before i plunk down good hard earned money on a CDI that is not returnable, i wanted to see if anyone else had this issue.

Help???

This sounds a lot like you have a ground problem somewhere in your wiring.

checked all the grounds and wiring. no crimps, splices or smashed wires. all grounds are grounded. all other lighting seems to work just fine and its the blinkers and headlamp with the issue. i will triple check tonite.

i thought taht the CDI controlled the blinkers/signals and wondering is something got fried inside the CDI causing this issue.

The voltage regulator controls the blinkers.
