Interesting. Love the rear swing-arm design -- kinda a backwards Vespa! And Triumph going to a belt drive is pretty radical, that's CVT and Harley Davidson territories!

It's an interesting design but I don't understand the overall frame and fairing design. There are LOTS of lines. And it has a lot of different surfaces, edges, nooks and crannies for dirt, grim, and whatnot to accumulate. Cleaning will be a PITA IMO. But so are many street bikes.

The discussion says that the production bike will include body panels over the currently visible frame.

All your friends will be at the cafe or the coast and you'll be at the charging point because you tried to keep up with them.

What exactly am I missing because it looks very similar to a Speed Triple.

At least when BMW make a battery powered bike they move from Disco to Punk.

Yeah but you won't care because you'll be trumpeting the virtues of your gasless wonder to every passerby and time will fly. Well, for you it will, the passerbys will experience a time dilation effect and when they arrive home will find their spouse has remarried a vacuum cleaner salesman and the kids are grown. Have you seen interstellar?

Yes I've seen Interstella, but I'm also really looking forward to seeing Interstella.

Just a little Interstella joke there.

Repeat.

Makes me think of a joke:

Q: how do you know someone is Vegan

A: don't worry, they'll tell you

Have you not heard of the saying "if it's not broke, don't fix it" Perhaps the World isn't ready for a futuristic Electric Motorcycle.

The Speed Triple has been a best seller for Donkeys years so why shouldn't Triumph stick with a tried, tested and much loved design?

That's a fair point as all vehicles need to have a brand identity but I was expecting a bit more than a battery in a sports chassis.

Sorry, yet another battery in a sports chassis.

I don't know what BMW we're smoking when they green lit the CE 04 but I'll have some of that.

Brave, bold and way over priced. Ticks Box.
