Modern Vespa

I just found this great site, and already found loads of useful information here, so I quickly registered.

I have problem with my daughters Vespa LX 50 2T. She accidentally broke her key one day with one piece stuck in the seat lock. After much fiddling I managed to unlock the seat using the other half of the key and then managed to push the stuck piece out.

With this piece I then put it in the ignition lock so I could unlock the scooter and drive it home.
As I could also open the glovebox I just ordered two new cylinders with keys and I then replaced both cylinder which was pretty easy.

All seemed fine and I was very proud of myself until I realized the now the glovebox won't open.

Reading here in the forums I found that there was some alignment of the glovebox mechanism that I should have done when I put on the back with the glovebox. But now it is too late.

I understood that there are some instructions on how to open the glovebox even in this case but it is not shared publicly which make sense.

I would however be grateful if someone would PM these instructions to me.

there is a metal lever that the glove box catches on and also serves to open the assembly. more than likely you did not align it behind the ignition piece.
