Are there any kind of tire liners that protect against minor flats? I'm thinking like the Mr Tuffy liners that go in bike tires between the tube and the tire. Or are there heavy duty tubes? I don't really want to mess with a goo type stuff as its messy to clean up and the S83s wear our pretty quickly.

Thankfully today I got my flat right in front of the office and was able to change things in the warmth of the garage. Plus a pallet jack is pretty handy.

I've seen people cut an old tube and use that, but part of the problem is that it's a split rim so you really gotta fiddle fuck around with getting it all together and sit right.

if you're gonna run anything, slime is probably your best bet. I have a friend that swears by the stuff.

failing that, go tubeless and carry and stop-n-go kit.

I don't have room for a stop and go kit. That pallet jack takes up my whole glovebox!

When i originally got Speedy there was a 1"-1.5" strip of tube in the rim (with lots of rust on it), covering where the rims meet, I guessed it was to stop the tube getting pinched while assembling.
I also sometimes use a 3"-4" strip where the tyre would be on the road. Using OLD tube works best, as it's already stretched to fit inside of the tyre.
