Hello guys.
My Mickey mouse light is missing a few things. I'm looking for the lens screw, tiny copper screw to tightened the wire on the back and importantly the side round reflector (ear).

Let me know if you have anything laying around collecting dust.

Motorsport used to have a stash of the lens screws(150553).Would the wiring screws be the same as the ones used in the junction box at the engine? As far as the reflectors, what's the going rate on hens teeth?

I haven't try. Looks like both copper screws have same fine teeth. As for the hens teeth, do you have any for sale? Lol. Well. I guess it's depending on the condition of the reflector and how much whoever the buyer is willing to pay for.

You're gonna drive down the price of originals! They are the single most valuable items in my junk drawers! Razz emoticon

The law of psychology for owners of obscure crap states: "The more someone else wants it the less I want to sell it.", thereby increasing it's perceived value to the owner of said crap in a never ending upward cycle of perceived theoretical value. Until someones repops it and perceived value crashes.

what's a mickey mouse tail lamp in good shape worth these days? I'm wondering if people should start trading smallframe battery doors for them.

Unless he can do better than the repop one from BarItalia or Indonesia otherwise he has no buyer. I've seen both repops, they aren't giving me the wow factor.

That works perfect for me, I only make parts where I can count on one hand the number of people that need/want it.

from what I see, BarItalia has a repop of the tail light, but not the reflectors.

About a square trade these days. Especially if you need either to complete a project.

It makes sense when you're not commercializing it. I have thought of making the the base, the aluminum trim (that holds the base and plastic reflector together), the bolt and the screw in copper with my CNC machines. Its just I have no way of making the plastic reflector as close as the original.

As for the repop from Kristian, he gave me two after market reflectors when I bought the taillight. It looks alright just better than nothing.

I'm thinking I'll reach out to claussstudios on the plastic, as I have another lens that needs to be reproduced. I try to make a habit of sending him the last of anything I have to make a mold from.

If Clauss does not what to do it, I've been wanting to learn the process for making them myself.

These look pretty close.

Vaguely, "about the size of a quarter."

^^

it's really down to the size of the mounting stud. the holes in the ears are very small and anything I've found off the shelf (non vintage division) is wayyy too fat to get in there with out drilling

I believe there was an Indonesian guy making repops that looked ok. I don't have a link, sorry.

The last original one I watched go on eBay a few years ago went for $550.00. I wasn't interested because it was too much for me and my SS180 wasn't born with one of these lights anyway. They sure are hella cool looking though. Is it the only US market tail light that actually looks cooler than any Euro tail light ever made?

I had one repop from Indonesia. It's far off the quality of the original if you put them side by side. The reflector is thicker...

Yea. The stud bolt is steel and much bigger. The reflector is not as elegant as the original.

I've tried with 3d print it not the right material. The reflection is the key.

LOL, if I ever decide to paint Stella I want to put on a tuna can. Might get a repop and see if I can cover up holes and put one on anyway.
