Sierra Foothills, Northern California - Went through towns of Jackson, Pine Grove, Pioneer, Volcano and Sutter Creek. Conditions were high 30s to low 40s, mostly sunny with some snow on the side of the road above 3,000 feet, Passed by cattle ranches on rolling hills of oak and scrub-brush outside of Jackson (Elev-1,200ft) giving way to a mixed forest of pine and oak near town of Pine Grove (2,500ft). Passed by Lake Tabeaud, Mokelumne River, Sutter Creek and Jackson Creek on my journey, Here I am making a pitstop at my parents house in Pioneer (3,500ft)

Stayed largely off the main highway except for short stretches, took mostly 35-40 mph side roads up and down the mountain which made for a nice, relaxed, scenic and comfortable ride.

Great area, and a great scooter for it.

I lived in Grass Valley for a few years, and also had a Fly 150, so this caught my attention, obviously.

If you get up that way in Nevada County, HWY 49 is an EXCELLANT run...especially if you ride out to the South Yuba River crossing. The whole area is amazing, and miss it greatly!

Not too bad really with layers upon layers, leather jacket and gloves, winters aren't too long here and spring is coming soon, i think for next year though ill be wearing some sort of face mask and yes maybe a scarf for winter riding, considering a full face helmet too not sure if it would fog up too much though.

That FLY 150 is a super good looking scoot. That white with the blue emblem is nice.

We are a good 60 days away from decent riding weather here in
Frost Bite Falls Minnesota.

Thanks for the photo,

Bob Copeland
