Booch,
Sounds like a great adventure. I expect there is a good back story behind heading out on your Vespa. Take in all the good advise posted here. If you can from time to time - post a photo for those among us who envy you on the scooter trail to the West Coast and points South. Welcome from Minnesota Bob Copeland |

Welcome from The Salt Lake Valley in Utah. I agree with doing the break in and service before your trip.

By the way: I checked where to go to meet this 3700km trip in Europe from my home in Belgium. Not to the south, not to the west, not to the north, the only option is to the east. Moscow is only 2500km from home. I should have to travel to the city of Perm in Russia, some 1500km east of Moscow. |

You will get an idea of what to expect and what things about the bike you need to alter. I rode from SoCal to Laughlin when I first got my touring bike. Halfway through the desert I realized I needed a taller seat because the angle my foot was at on the pegs would make my feet go numb after an hour or so. |
