Administrator apologies if this is the wrong location to post- couldn't find the club link. Just a PSA that we are starting a scooter club in the Roswell/Alpharetta (Rosetta), Georgia area:

Thanks for the add!

Thanks! We pass our scooter friends routinely on our weekend rides so I know they are out there!

AvbIz,

If you build it, they will come.

The originators of our local riding group:

1. Printed a flyer and passed them out to local dealers that sold scooters.
2. Literally flagged over other scooters they came in contact with and
invited them to join rides.
3. We are set up on the Meetup Website. If you google Minn-Max Meetup
you will go to our website and see future scheduled rides and events.
If you join on this Meetup site (No Cost) you receive regular emails and
can RSVP for future rides.

In practice, word of mouth and friends inviting friends to join a ride worked the best.
Routinely, if we can get someone to join a ride - "They are Hooked".

Many folks on this forum and groups they ride with are life long friends.

Bob Copeland - Ride on!
Typical ride group.
Typical ride group.
The group is warm and welcoming - here is what we say if you don't try a ride!

Thanks for the great advice! I will take a look at your site for ideas.

We are on a slow positive roll - bump for awareness to Marietta/Roswell/Alpharetta/Sandy Springs area riders. Thanks for considering!

Congrats on your new club!

I had business cards made with our club name, logo, and a QR code that would take folks to our Facebook page.

We can hand them out to other local scooterists we see or leave them on their scoot if parked.

That's a great suggestion- thanks. We have a basic flyer we keep on the scoots that we'll handout when we see some riders but biz-cards would be even better. I have a QR code set up. I may have erred; I took the Facebook group page private thinking I am providing protection for group members but I see many groups are public.

Your page can be public, but as administrator you can control who joins and boot people if necessary.

General Club questions:

- Are your scooter groups/clubs registered as a LLC and or Non Profit for liability purposes?

- Do you have ride participants complete a waiver to indemnify the club?

Our ride group "Minn-Max Scooters of Minnesota" is a loose independent
association that exists on a Website that posts ride dates. There are no dues
and no formal LLC or Corp to avoid liability. Everyone rides at their own risk.

You can log into the Website and join with your email so you received ride date
updates. When you ask to join (We approve most anyone) you receive a
email welcome from me. It states you ride at your own risk.

We do not have waivers signed or filed.
