Sometimes I have a look a the old posts by going to the last page available. Today was a good one because there was a post from Adamspx - the one about kickstart woes.

It then led me down the rabbithole of his other posts.

Time wasted but a bit of a chuckle.

Is that just because there are only 500 pages to click to? the old ones don't actually disappear, I think. They probably are just beyond the index?

tbh, I don't actually know (that's beyond my pay grade and access, I'm just a filthy casual like you guys) but I have a feeling that it's when NSM was created, previously all NSM content was GD so it may be hiding over there...

I would guess John is right that it indexes 500 pages, but older posts are still searchable. I can go back to my first post which is maybe a good year before Adam popped up.

AFAICT, there are in fact 500 pages of posts in NSM. General Discussion currently has almost 2000 pages, so I don't think there's any artificial limit imposed anywhere in the bowels of the software.

Now that makes sense, you can see the bigger number of pages in General Discussion...

Now that I think about it, the last page did used to be 400 and something when i first joined so that makes sense.

Still fun reading the Adamspx stuff. The RS50 was a good one.
