Hi everyone,

So i have a bit of a problem with my LED indicator (where its shows you how much petrol you still have, and the time etc). Somehow the film/sticker/layer on top of the LED got burned and it was impossible to read during daylight. In the evening it was still visible tho.
I decided to get it opened up at the dealer and they removed the burned plastic layer, the result is photo #1.
If you look at photo #2, you can still read the LED screen slightly from an angle.
Photo #3 is part of the layer/sticker/whatever it is that was removed. Its a sort of material that allows you to read the LED when u put it on. Ive tried many places (repair shops, sticker places etc) but no one had the proper material to replace it.
Can anyone please advise what kind of material it is. And perhaps where or how to get it? Thanks in advance!

Hunch: it's a polarising film.

If you have a pair of *polarised* sunglasses (not normal sunglasses) then try holding them infront of the LCD (it's not an LED) and rotating 90 degrees.

(Or of course a cable/connector got bumped)
