I know that the oil fill hole on the 300 HPE motor can be difficult to get to with a standard funnel. I've seen the video on how to modify the Red Line funnel, but then I saw this yellow flex funnel on Amazon. Which would be the better choice? The red line one that I have to bend with heat or the flexi one (no mods). Thanks!

I just use a pump head on the oil bottle. This one fits Motul's Scooter Power (and presumably most other quart/liter bottles).

I don't know how the HPE compares to the Primavera iGet, but if it's similarly horizontal you may be interested in this. See the last posting where a lambda sensor extender is used to screw the funnel into the filler hole. No leaks, no drips!

I use a metal funnel with a flexible portion. To me that makes much more sense than modifying a plastic version.

I think I'm gonna go with the metal flex one. It does make more sense and I can use it for other things. Thanks to everyone who responded!

I think a simple fill bottle would do nicely. Something like this: https://www.glas-shop.be/laboratoriumfles-met-nauwe-hals-250-ml-met-sproeisluiting-499.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA3rKQBhCNARIsACUEW_a6-Vzg1a5XKxXHz7AvriEoEsRwiJVw43LebDtQhYwYKHYazhcpotoaAuPKEALw_wcB
Cut the tube to an appropriate diameter, fill the bottle with oil and squeeze the oil in. And very cheap.

I got the Red Line one and modified as suggested by Robot and it works great. I can just push it into the filler hole and it stays securely in place. No flexing, no movement. As long as you have a heat gun and a long punch, socket extension or large screwdriver, the mod is quick and easy. Why pay more that 3 times as much for a funnel that will be moving around unless you hold it in place?

I don't have a heat gun, so that is a consideration. The metal flexible funnel was only $20 on Amazon, so I figured I'd give it a try and see how it works. If it doesn't work out, then I'll go the Red Line route. Thanks for your input!

I have made one-time use custom funnels using stacking several sheets of aluminum foil and then rolling them into a tube. You can then easily bend the aluminum foil as needed to direct the fluid and wrap around objects like the center stand. I've used them for both draining and filling fluids. Once completed, I just throw the funnels away and remake them the next time.

I never could find a pre-made funnel that worked on my Vespa 250 or my BMW R1100RT. The aluminum funnels solved the problem for me.

The yellow funnel will also be harder to get all the oil into the engine as well as to clean out when you're done. Redline should be a piece of cake to modify.

This bottle topper fits various size oil bottles & has a plug to keep it clean, any open funnel is going to be an oily mess to store
I have the small bottles that seal tightly for topping off

I use the sight strip & scale on an oil bottle to pre-measure the exact quantity for an oil change

After topping off and making a huge mess with my plastic funnel/plastic tubing setup I am absolutely convinced that the small bottles are the way to go for topping off.
Make it easy and use a simple squeeze bottle like this one:

As I'm just a few days away from taking possession of my new ride I've been thinking about this, and will likely go with this, from the same folks who make the aftermarket oil pan with sight-glass for the GTS HPE (which I'll also be getting when the bike goes in for its initial service at 600 miles).
Since I'll be wanting to do most of my own top-offs, I'm betting on this making the process a bit less cumbersome.

Looks interesting, please update us on it's ease of use/installation when you get the chance
