Doesn't vw group also own MV Augusta?

Don't know about MV, but they own Ducati.
For comparison the Vespa Elettrica cost £6300 and only does 43mph, and a Primavera 125 is £4350.

At £5k after subsidy, this looks pretty competitive.

No, Mercedes used to own an interest in MV Agusta but sold it about 5 years ago. My understanding is that MV Agusta is owned by the Castiglioni family and the Black Ocean Group.
