Please tell me you were able to save money when buying tires for your ET4, or another vespa ...even if the saving came from FREE SHIPPING!

Need A front and back, really didn't count on spending $206 for pair of Michelin "City Grip"

Where can I get my best deal?

you can get a set of city grips for about $150 off amazon. OEM Pirelli SL38's are about the same.

don't like Michelin or Pirelli or want something cheaper? shinko, MMG and kenda are all options.

scooterpartsco.com stocks Heidenau at a very good price and shipping is reasonable and quick.

scooter works carries Vee rubber for about 100/pr

parts for scooters (dot) com has insanely cheap deals on entry level tires and very reasonably priced higher end rubber.

btw, if that's $206 installed that's a very good deal.

Do you want them removed, mounted, balanced and reinstalled? If so, that's a decent price.
If you DIY, that's different.

Agree. If parts and labor is what you want, that sounds like a fair price to me.

are you searching for the correct size? I can't think of an ET tire that's more than about $75

expand your search, just from the places listed here there's cheaper prices and more options

just from the two seconds of search for city grips:
scooterwest- $177
amazon- $147
chaparral- $127
mix & match- $118

cheapest may mean waiting, same with fee shipping. if you want it right now, you pay right now prices.

Also note this. If I buy my tires thru my local dealer I get a install discount and a full warranty on the tires. If I buy them from someone else the mounting charge is full price and I'm on my own if there is a warranty claim. So, because I rarely buy tires for my scooter I just get them from the dealer and have them do the install.

motosports.com. Here is what I think fits an ET4 (100/80-10 front, 120/70-10 back) for $153. I have bought from them in the past. https://www.motosport.com/michelin-city-grip-2-scooter-tire-combo?variant[MICA04K]=MICA04K-X001-Y010&variant[MICA04L]=MICA04L-X001-Y007

This. The only exception is if they can't source the tyre I want (one of the joys of living in the Hermit Kingdom).

Chaparral, Dennis Kirk, Revzilla, Amazon-price shop your tire size.

As has been previously stated, Shinkos, Kendas, and ContiScoots are fine tires for less money.

Lots of pricier name brands are actually made in Korea, Taiwan, or Eastern Europe.

I got a very gently used Sava kickin' around my backyard (good weight to hold ersatz lids on my yardwaste cans). Yours for the postage.

I would stick with the seller's own website, because you end up paying amazon fees above the real retail price. You're paying their percentage, their processing card fees, warehousing, fullfillment and shipping. It's not shown, but it's in the price.

Price shopping is price shopping.

Hidden costs are irrelevant to me as a consumer, so long as the bottom line price is the lowest.

I have had very good luck using the microsoft browser with their shopping plug in. It is the only reason I use that browser, but it finds some decent prices in places I wouldn't otherwise know about.

What is the difference in city grip 62s and 58s?

And the difference in city grip and city grip "2"?

the number is the load index
58= 520lb
62= 584lb

the letter is speed rating
S=113 mph

city grip 2 has a slightly tweaked compound, but it is still silica based. the tread has more siping for grip in wet conditions.
