I'm excited about this. Been waiting for the rumors to be official for 6 months. Big Lego fan, but I dont have a room or anything... I like building stuff. never say never! There are details that could be improved, especially for us discerning Vespa aficionados. Some design choices are questionable, however; the brick building format does have its limitations. That being said, its pretty cool to have an official Lego X Vespa set.

Snap a couple of these guys onto the bottom of the centerstand, then resell the LEGO scooter as a genuine SEA restoration at a premium price.

I love lego but this model is not a good representation. They've done the best they can sure, but it just looks odd.

Legos are strange. I loved them so much as a kid, but we had a giant pile of generic ones to build whatever you wanted. We'd build whole cities and then have some sort of natural disaster and ruin them.

These dedicated sets are fun to put together, but it's more like building a hobby model than what I think of as "playing with Legos" from my childhood.

Nevertheless, I've got the small Lego vespa on my work desk anyway .

Yes, that's what my experience was, too. A giant Rubbermaid tub of random blocks that could be used to come up with your own multi-colored creations. They were all from various sets that I'd occasionally build, but then they'd be promptly broken down into parts again for other uses. Legos were better for making visually detailed stuff, but K'Nex had better crash deformation.

It's a good Lego set, but not one of their greatest. It looks nice when built but some of the sections aren't as well secured as you'd normally get. 7/10

My son and I are building this one too. He got it for me as a bday present (but I know it's for us).
