I worked construction for many years and we get stickers given to us all the time. Most people put them on their hard hats and I did that for a long time but as a welder lifting the hood up and down scrapes them up and they start looking pretty ratty and I was kinda bummed because I messed up some rare really cool stickers so I just started collecting them.

I wish I would have started much collecting/saving sooner because as a kid in the early 70's when we got stickers we just stuck them on stuff and now some of those stickers that were so common then are really rare, still probably not worth all that much but I sure do wish I had a bunch of the old Sims Pure Juice stickers for example.

Lol,Reminds me of the fun summer I spent cutting up an old tractor for my dad with a torch wearing my usual summer outfit....cutoff shorts and barefoot. Learned some good dance steps.

I have decorated Rocket and Vanessa with stickers from our adventures.

It gets a bit messy and I am considering their removal, but they stay for now.

If you want to make (non-paper) sticker/decal removal easier, a hair dryer to soften the material is practically cheating.

I have a fair number of stickers, and every few years I have this impulse to cover my bike with them, usually just before a club ride. But they don't stay on for long. I like the clean scooter lines. Even take my top-box off every now and then just for the clean looks.

I recently dug up the first record that was actually all mine, alone, belonging to me and nobody else. I got it for my ninth birthday so it was clearly necessary for me to write my name on it, and to put a sticker on it too.

Because Vespas are metal bodies instead of plastic panels on a frame...have you thought about using sheet magnets to make your stickers removable? (I don't currently have a GTS so I can't double-check for certainty, but I'm assuming that magnets would stick.)

These are mine. They're spaced out over the entirety of bike & luggage because the plan is to fill it all in with stickers collected from traveling & the things/people that hold meaning. Apologies for the picture flood. They're even on ME.

I'm not big into stickers on the scooter; just a Vespa Club New Zealand has been added next to the Italian colours that were on the scooter when I got her. However, I have added some to the top box as I did a swap to a bigger Givi after our annual ride. It has a few scratches so, as I get relevant stickers, they are being added to hide them. A work in progress.

I just have one, but I like it.

Yes EM2 and not so smart. The basketball or meatball, the tiddlywink etc. Actually it's a GLOBE, the world. WTF? The US Navy copied the Coast Guard. Coasties added EM's in 1920. The US Navy in 1921. The original design called for a GLOBE. Globe is/was a synonym for lightbulb. Oops. If you're the Govt. what do you do with all those rating badges?

I've removed about a half dozen stickers from mine.
I'm not necessarily anti- sticker, they can be a cool way of sharing your story. I'm anti someone else's stickers.

I see bikes as a form of self expression. I want my own canvas to paint, not someone else's finished product.

When I remove a sticker I put it on a plastic sheet, so that I can use it again someday. Most stickers survive several applications/removals, and besides I have several copies of most of hem, such as MV, SIP, Malossi and Bitubo. I just keep a club sticker on each side of my top-box.

he magnetic sheet idea appeals, except for cutting around the teeth of Vespa club badge gear wheels. Pity the glove box is plastic.

You got me Outsider. I collect allot of patches and stickers and keep them
in an envelope in my desk. I like the clean stock look. I know and appreciate
those who love stickers all over their rides. Kind of like Gypsies wild and free.

My exception:

I was attending a scooter rally in Northern Minnesota and was impressed by
a gal attendee who had a sticker of a Gryffin on each side of her maxi-scooter
fairing. I then put Ferrari Stickers on each side of my Burgman 400's fairing.

I plan to have a local tailor sew all my patches on a Black Columbia Vest.

I've actually written an online review of a sticker, a review that I'm pretty sure nobody has ever read. This however does not bother me for I am accustomed to offering my wisdom to the world with no discernible results. A prophet is never recognized in his own land.

I mounted my various club decals on magnetic sheet, so I can represent the club I'm riding with when appropriate.

Bylaws: You cannot be a member of more than one club at a time. No divided loyalties.

Magnetic decals: No one will know. How will they know?
