I just recently found that Benneli scooters are being imported by SSR. Nice specs, good pricing. I am happy with my Liberty, but these could be worth looking at if you are still in the market for Italian. http://benelli.ssrmotorsports.com/bikes/caffenero.php

I may be wrong, but the Benneli scooters are Italian in name only and are built by the Qjian Jiang (QJ) group in China. Whether they are any good, I don't know.

My local Benelli dealer tried to get me on a Scorch 150cc to help advertise the brand, since a scooter is my main transportation. But I'm a scooter snob and politely passed. That Caffenero 150 is a good looking scooter though. Don't forget KUMCO has the People 150 as well. Considering how big wheel scooters seem to sell in the USA I don't see much sense in it, and I own a Liberty. But choice is a good thing.

Benelli's are designed in Italy and built in China.

My Leoncino 500 fuel gauge relay failed and so I ran out of gas then an earth connector fell off and it was the smallest, cheapest connector I've ever seen.

I won't be buying another one.

ah, benelli, for people who thought it was just too easy sourcing parts for a SYM!

It was a shame because it rode really well even if the engine was mismatched to the chassis, but it was the cheapness of the electrics that really put me off.

The most reliable bike recently has been the Royal Enfield which is ironic.

Now don't be slaggin the Royal Oilfield. Mine served me very well for about 17 years/76000km with only minor tinkering, a few inexpensive repairs and the annual clutch cable to show for it, a far cheaper machine to run than my Kawasaki or... *shudder*... my BMW.

It always ran and always got you home, you might on occasion need some mechanical skills, never a major problem, just silly stuff like a failed centerstand spring that saw me replace the spring with a bungee cord which was threaded up the middle of the frame until I could get a replacement spring, it was still there five years later.

It definitely wasn't the machine for the non mechanic but it was a great bike.

I wasn't slagging. I'm saying that the bike that is the "oldest" has proved the most reliable.

That's praise in case you didn't recognise it.

I would guess you are correct! My bad. I think I read that a bit ago.

They are not for sale here in BE.
Piaggio offers only Vespa, the electric Piaggio 1, the Zip, the Liberty, the Medley, the Beverly and the MP3 models.

You have Keeway scooters, I think. Same thing.
