Can anyone help me please. Should these hoses be connected to anything ? Runs ok but revs die if I give it full throttle. Changed spark plug and air filter then noticed 3 ends not going to anything else. Any help is gratefully received thanks

Dear Rukas,

If you add the MODEL YEAR of your scooter in your profile if may help someone help you. Just type the year in just before the model listing in your profile.

top hose goes to nothing. it's to direct air heated by the engine onto your carburetor, there's supposed to be a little rubber surround on the carb, but those always go missing. no worries.

the other two I can't tell, can you post a clearer picture?

also, I don't know what's going on with your choke but that's not stock.

none of your clamps/zip ties are tight or properly located either so you'll need to address that at some point.

I think those two other hoses are related to the PAIR system? Looks like the metal tube from the header pipe and the vacuum valve are missing.

The bystarter (electric) is missing. I agree, no idea if that's an actuator rod to manually use it, or if that's a plug made out of random hardware.

oh, I was totally having a moment... I saw LX and 2T and reverted to caveman ET2 status.

so LX50 2T (which we didn't get) DO in fact have a SAS system and you, sir, are correct that's all the stuff that's missing.

and yeah, whatever is going on with the bystarter sure matches up with all the other chicanery that seems to be going on there.

anyway, don't just go out and plug the holes. get the parts and repair it properly and it should just run fine and dandy. it's damn near impossible to kill those motors.

start here:

FSM

then... uhhh... *scrambles* i... uhh, do not have a parts fiche for that particular model. but maybe here

again, I'm not super familiar with the accoutrements that the euro model got from the earlier ET2 version that we both had, so research carefully before pulling the trigger.

Looks like the same setup as my 2005 and 2006 Typhoons. Top hose is as mentioned for carb "heating".

Middle one circled is connected to engine case and in stock from there is a line from the exhaust to pull in air for emissions purposes. If you have aftermarket exhaust it's fine to leave as is.

The bottom circle is the "inlet" to the airbox. In stock form there is a small rubber elbow that fits into that hole, not even sure it's purpose other than it makes the airflow a little more restricted. I have them removed on mine but I have significant mods to filter, jets, exhuast.
