Maybe it was just me finally finding them, but there were a whole bunch of tail light and other model-specific gaskets on the Clauss Studios site that I didn't recall being there when I went to order my last round of motor mounts.

I'm fairly certain they did a recent update with new products. I noticed some new stuff during my last order, including that USA taillight gasket; which is nice to finally have reproduced in Clauss top quality. So Is my original gasket now worth more, or less?...

Their reproduction Mickey Mouse tail light lens that I got from them, while not being cheap, was perfect in every way. Class outfit.

Worth more or less... maybe more?

The material is different. It's more dense.

Not a bad repro. Florida looks like balls on it though. The original is much chubbier.

Thanks for that pic!

The SIP repro is ok. Guessing that's a repro of the Sears badge made a few years later -- before the black background one.

Two rivets broke off after a few taps. Glued it and rode with one. Later on someone snagged it in a parking lot.

Got another. I'm going to use your pic and add some '59 aluminum to it & grind down the morning wood in Florida.

That's BS that someone snagged your logo. I'd leave the morning wood. After all, what better to represent the Sunshine State than an inappropriate chubby?

It's surprising that SIP has Allstate parts! Weird American market things.

Allstates are popular around the world.

Did my best on the SIP badge. I don't think Charlie Chaplain (aka The Tea Pot) ever lived in San Diego in 1959, so the wood got ground a bit. Florida too.

Hit it with diluted cupric nitrate and a small wire brush. Happy with the result.

Not too shabby! Removing that appendage really makes it look good

Nice way to add patina! Good work there.

Have to say the Allstate badge is/was just a very cool design. Vintage Americana at it's best.
