I changed the oil on my GT 200 this morning as a test run for changing the oil on my GTS 300 Super. I used a "FormaFunnel" and my results were mixed. While it did a great job of funneling virtually all the dirty oil from the oil filter to my drain pan, it did a lousy job of funneling the dirty oil from the drain bolt. I captured about half (500 ml) of the oil in my drain pain. The other half drenched the cardboard that I had strategically placed under the bike. I've got about 100 more break in miles to go on my Super before it needs it's first oil change. Maybe I'll just have my better half hold the bike up for me while I drain the oil….lol.

Use a Form A Funnel ( Amazon). The green one works best and does not fall apart on the outer edges.About $30.

I thought I'd show a sample of my custom, one-use, aluminum-foil funnels. See pics and captions below. In this sample, it's for my BMW R1100RT final drive oil.
I've used custom funnels like this to drain the transmission/gear and engine oil on my vespa 250 and direct the oil around obstructions like the center stand without making a mess or dripping on the center stand. I've also used the same techniuque to change the oil and coolant on my small tractor. It seems like every situation requires a separate shaped funnel so rather than having a collection of oily funnels to store, I just toss them after a single use. Hope that helps Miguel The final drive drain hole drips the oil really close and probably on to the rear tire, which creates a tire slip hazard when underway. There's now way to get my drain pan in place to keep that from happening. I could use a regular funnel in this situatio
So I make custom, single use funnels out of one or more sheets of aluminum foil. For this one I used a single sheet and folded it in half.
Then I roll it up & bend it to form the "funnel" so the oil goes where I want it too. Sometimes, I hold the funnel till most of the oil drains out.
I've had a heavy volume of oil push the funnel aside in some cases so now I just hold it till its just dripping. Once the oil is just dripping, the foil has sufficient rigidity to keep its form and position so I don't have to hold it
