Sorry if this is a stupid question, and I hope I can word it in a way that makes sense. I am interested in mounting this rear backrest/rack on my Stella 2T. I know that the bolts for the bottom bracket (that attaches right by the license plate) screw into nuts on the inside part of the scooter. I can easily fit my hand behind it to hold the nuts while I screw the bolts in place so this is not a problem. My question is, for the top bolts (that screw in under the seat) do they just screw directly into the bolt holes? In other words, I just want to make sure that I don't have to like take the gas tank out to hold a nut to screw into. Does anybody have experience with this install? Thanks.

I cant talk about your actual rear rack, but from things ive stuck on my PXs before, like backrests and top box racks, you use the existing bolts on the tank, unscrew and then these go through the rack holes. One thing you might have to do is change the seat latch post to a taller one due to the change in height of the seat sitting on whatever rack you have put on, this depends on the thickness of the rack mounting plate to the scooter frame.

Thank you for the info. Good to know that I can just unscrew and screw the bolts directly into the tank and not worry about messing with a loose nut or anything. Yeah, I saw from someone else's post that they were having trouble getting the seat to latch when they added the rear rack so I think you might be right and I may end up needing a longer post. I've found a couple online so if it should be a pretty easy fix if is doesn't work with the stock post.

Yes , just carefully bring the seat down to check it latches and don't do what I did leaving my keys on tank and jamming the seat and keys stuck under., The posts come with washers too so you can play about with the height by adding or removing washers to the base of the pole thread .

You were right. Once I mounted the rear rack the stock seat post wasn't quite engaging. I added an extra washer and was barely able to get it to latch but I don't think there are very many threads screwed in so I went ahead and bought the longer post.
