That is the great CT50/70 or 90cc to us Americans. I got given one of those for some money owed awhile back. I ran rough but was all there, but I had no way to take it home at the time. So almost a year passed and a buddy and I were talking minibikes and I mentioned someone gave me a CT70 but I never went back to get it. So my buddy had me call the guy and he said its still sitting in the shed and come and get it if I still wanted it. So we jump into the Toyota van and head on over to his moms house to get it. My friend was soooo excited! We turn the corner and see the house and there's police officers and the DEA at the house! Needless to say we kept on driving. Turns out his mom got busted selling meth. I never got my CT70 either. I guess if this DAX comes to the US I might have to grab one and create current memories for the CT that slipped away!

A friend has a Trail 125? if I recall. He keeps trying to sell it to me but I politely pass. It's vintage, as in old from the 70's. Only thing I think it has going for it is it's orange and bone stock, and he found a new Honda exhaust for it. Oh, and a gas can holder and a shotgun holder, both factory accessories. Cool but not my thing. The new Trails are much nicer. Real brakes and better suspension. But I have a thing for minibikes.

^^^Love the aesthetics of this bike. (Really not loving the comic-sans-esque 'Dax' graphic though.)
It's nice to see Honda's continued interest in small throwback bikes. I just wish they would commit and put an electric powerplant in one.

Very nice !!
I rode a 50 and later a 125CC Skyteam version of the Dax. But now i'm hooked on my Vespa GTS wich is strangely enough better value for the money than this new Dax imho |

Priced here Monkey + ~1000€, that's + 1100 US$
The traditional semi-automatic clutch is a plus for many...but as Dax is otherwise pretty much a Monkey with lipstick, I'll expect it to remain a rarity around here. If I'd be looking for retro mini Hondas, Dax would be my choise because of the clutch...it is handy to be able to use the left handlebar as a shopping bag holder |

I'm so bummed all of these Honda bikes only have 125cc. I would definitely have a 200cc+ Cub. I just can't get around here on 125cc…Too many steep hills. And 125cc also causes a line of pissed off drivers behind you when you are going 15 mph over the speed limit at WOT (and they want to be going 20+ mph over the speed limit).

Dog gone that DAX is a sweet looking machine.
I always try to rent small scooters on distant vacation destination trips. They are, in my opinion, the most fun to ride. My son and I rented Vespa 50s for two days on a vacation together. It was almost too much fun. The Beach Boys "I'm gonna ride my Honda Tonight - First Gear...." Bob Copeland |

Just noticed one 74' for sale...with just a tad higher price tag than a new Dax
The seller has a good excuse for this though: 3500km on the clock, parts still original... Actually googled to see how they wrote 'Dax' those days, but there was a Hodna text instead. |

The other thing that the CT90's have going for them, over the new CT125, is that they have a dual range transmission, 4-high and 4-low, at the flip of a lever. Probably better off-road, in actual tough terrain, than one of those expensive ADV bikes, just slower. And, all the while getting over 100 mpg. Basically all parts are available on either DRATV.com or CSMNL.com (Netherlands). If he does want to sell, then have him post it on the CT90/CT110 Facebook page...it is public. Or the local Craigslist, as there are always people looking for these (I know from personal experience). |

As far as the top speed, F those other drivers. I think the CT125 tops out at about 55-60, which is plenty fast for any non-highway road. IMO, highways are not a place for even a 250. |
