It looks like a Stella fork? I'm in need of one more disc brake kit. If i were local, i'd snatch it up. I'd prefer a genuine Piaggio fork and a Piaggio brake assembly though. But you get what you get and you don't throw a fit when it comes to acquiring used hydro brake kits.

I'm kinda more interested in the 6cyl cranks in the back ground and the machines...

but Johnny G is probably right with that being a Stella fork. still a good price though!

Someday, In the course of my Vermont barnstorming, I will probably come across an old Bridgeport mill for cheap. It's out there and I will be really tempted. I will contemplate all my fingers looking through both eyes and give it serious consideration.

complete GL motor for $500? Seems reasonable, they don't grow on trees.

That tire looks usable, too. That's a great deal if you're looking for a GL motor.

Facepalm emoticon John...

by promoting this battery you are just encouraging these ppl, like feeding the trolls! You are not supposed to understand, you are now helping this go viral, hence you are both a victim and also culpable. Livid emoticon

Nerd emoticon

But hey, not really a bad price and probably could be rejuvenated somehow, WCGW?

motorsports vespa selling off a few bodges, it's well labeled what they are. first up a gl? for $800

https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mpo/d/san-diego-1967ish-vespa-150-gl-sprint/7738141862.html

is there $800 in salvageable stuff here? if you parted it, it might get close. frame will be a loss, but maybe some engine stuff is usable, you probably get usable cowls, a fork, a headset, maybe a tank, tail lamp, random bits, rims

so probably not a parts DOTD, but had me thinking.

they have an even shinier, more expensive one too:
https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mpo/d/san-diego-60s-vintage-vespa-for-prop-or/7738137485.html

I'm thinking probably needs to be more like $500, but I don't have the space to deal with the nonsense anyway. they do say "make an offer"....
$800 worth of bodge??
$800 worth of bodge??
$1200 worth of bodge??
$1200 worth of bodge??

Time and Money
Money and time...

Headset and cowls on the GL could fetch some change if they aren't bondo'd garbage.

Fork too if it isn't bent up trash.

And I'd rock that green seat on the Shitbox all day!

But 800? IDK about that.

As CM said... It would be fun to scrape down and see the ugly underneath.

I'd replace the nails with cotter pins, throw some rings and seals bearings and a kit in it - and wax the paint.
Would make a great scoot.

Buy them both and polish them up. Resell the $800 one for $8000 on BaT, and the $1200 for $12,000. Everyone goes home a winner.

the black one looks to have new tires/rims, which you could snatch. the racks looks okay as well as the seats. so there's probably 250~500 in parts on that.

the green white is a little more of a stretch. but I'd roll dice at 250 and not feel bad if I had to throw away everything.

the problem is that everything is just a tick off from what it should be. like the handlebars might be plumbing pipe with the cable windows hacked into them, and the cable controls are all hand hammered horseshittery that are ground and bent to work with that specific set up because there's no factory tolerances.

if you wanted an absolute beater that you gave zero-point-zero shits about and didn't care about wasting hours and hours of your time fucking around trying to get stuff to fit up or repair dumb crap then sure something like this might be a fun little side quest.

personally I'd rather put my time, effort and money into something more worthwhile.

I'm trying to not be tempted into buying a VNB engine for $125. You see, I already have a 3 speed 2 port engine in my stash. I probably need this like I need a hole in my head. Says he has all the parts for it, it's not all shown.
