It looks like a Stella fork? I'm in need of one more disc brake kit. If i were local, i'd snatch it up. I'd prefer a genuine Piaggio fork and a Piaggio brake assembly though. But you get what you get and you don't throw a fit when it comes to acquiring used hydro brake kits.

I'm kinda more interested in the 6cyl cranks in the back ground and the machines...

but Johnny G is probably right with that being a Stella fork. still a good price though!

Someday, In the course of my Vermont barnstorming, I will probably come across an old Bridgeport mill for cheap. It's out there and I will be really tempted. I will contemplate all my fingers looking through both eyes and give it serious consideration.

is there $800 in salvageable stuff here? if you parted it, it might get close. frame will be a loss, but maybe some engine stuff is usable, you probably get usable cowls, a fork, a headset, maybe a tank, tail lamp, random bits, rims

so probably not a parts DOTD, but had me thinking.

I'm thinking probably needs to be more like $500, but I don't have the space to deal with the nonsense anyway. they do say "make an offer"....

If it was closer, I'd buy that GL bodge just so I could take my torch to the body to see what the bare metal looked like, along with a general postmortem.

yoooo... did you *see* the kickstarter on the green/white one?

the black one looks to have new tires/rims, which you could snatch. the racks looks okay as well as the seats. so there's probably 250~500 in parts on that.

the green white is a little more of a stretch. but I'd roll dice at 250 and not feel bad if I had to throw away everything.

the problem is that everything is just a tick off from what it should be. like the handlebars might be plumbing pipe with the cable windows hacked into them, and the cable controls are all hand hammered horseshittery that are ground and bent to work with that specific set up because there's no factory tolerances.

if you wanted an absolute beater that you gave zero-point-zero shits about and didn't care about wasting hours and hours of your time fucking around trying to get stuff to fit up or repair dumb crap then sure something like this might be a fun little side quest.

personally I'd rather put my time, effort and money into something more worthwhile.

I'm trying to not be tempted into buying a VNB engine for $125. You see, I already have a 3 speed 2 port engine in my stash. I probably need this like I need a hole in my head. Says he has all the parts for it, it's not all shown.

3-speed VNB with a 177 is a torque machine. Eats hills for breakfast. Pops wheelies for lunch. Cruises at 60mph for dinner. Excellent city bike.
