I'm on Longboat Key Florida (Sarasota) for the month and was speaking to a older gent who cleans and maintains boats owned by residents. He mentioned that one of his customers was the owner of Boar's Head, and is living large while his kid runs the family owned, privately held, company, I hadn't realized that they moved their headquarters from Brooklyn, New York to Sarasota years ago after making a deal with Publix Supermarkets (the biggest Florida supermarket chain). This explains why all the cold cuts sold in Publix come in Boar's Head bags.

I miss Boars Heed meats sometimes. My wife went gluten free awhile back, then went vegetarian also. To support her I did the same. Now I don't think I could do vegan. I like my chocolate milk and cheese to much!
