Hello, bit of a problem. How dangerous is it if the bolt that holds this screw tight fell inside the vespa behind the glove box…. Also lost the springiness of the glove box door now. When you open the glove box it just falls down loose without the normal bounciness. Not sure if I should start it or maybe it's not a big issue? I live in a condo so don't have a ton of tools or space to pull the vespa apart to find it, maybe I should bring it in? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you 🙏 [/img]
The bolt that holds this screw I think fell inside the scooter

Yep. It seems it was these guys I've been hearing rattling for a the last month. I opened up the bottom stuck my hand in. The right hinge is gone I can't find it. There's a gap on the inside near the floor board it must've fell into. And the left one, pictured, came right off when I touched it….so now just wondering if it's safe to drive with one of these rolling around somewhere in the front / bottom of the vespa.

I don't think there's a nut behind that bolt - I thought it screws into the frame.
That last picture is the hinge for your glovebox. It snapped off, which probably explains the floppy door. Unfortunately I suspect the dealer will say you need to replace the whole panel, which I am sure is expensive. I've successfully glued mine back on with my old (2006) LX. But I would have thought yours is too new for this problem In any event, it shouldn't be dangerous to ride this way. What may happen is your glovebox door gets stuck if you close it up in this semi functional state.

I'm curious to know the model year of your Vespa. It is missing from your profile and easily added by typing in the year for the model name. Best.

like berto said, don't sweat it. it'll just chill out under the floorboard until you retrieve it.
you can glue those back on, but just use the glovebox door gingerly. really, the best fix is a new glovebox frame. |

Isn't it ABS? ABS cement from any plumbing store will fix that as strong as if not stronger than the original.
