Modern Vespa

Hey all...Just a post to say thanks for all the helpful info on this forum. Going to be picking up a scooter in the near future. It will be my first scooter, however been a motorcyclist for long, long time! (42 years, yikes!) Two wheels are my jam, also long time cyclist...so if it's got 2 wheels I dig it

Thinking the lower weight, center of gravity and ease of step-through body is going to be great. So hope to become an active part of this community.
I live just north of Asheville, NC...a real heaven for 2 wheelers. Love just kicking around back roads and such..(currently ride a 2004 KLR650) Really love the Vespas, Piaggio and Royal Alloy scoots
So lots to learn for sure. I have been soaking up all I can from Robots Vespa Motorsports YouTube, love that stuff!

Welcome lemonster1, this forum is a pretty great place IMHO and I am also pretty new. Similar background for me I have always loved everything to do with two wheels.

I got what I thought was a really great deal on a used but still pretty new liberty 50 and fell in love with the damn thing, and then stumbled onto another really great deal on a used liberty 150 and love that one even more.

I have always been a fan of the light bikes, the kind of stuff that most "motorcyclists" thumb their noses at. These types of bikes are frequently incredible bargains.

One of the great things about the vespa's is the resources like this forum and Robot's videos, tons of information makes it a lot more user friendly and just more fun in general.

A warm welcome from the UK. This is a great place to get ideas and help. Keep us posted on your scooter choice and eventual purchase.

I used to live in that area. If you ever need a mechanic for something you're not sure of doing yourself, I can recommend a shop. They kept me and my GTS in great shape through all manner of riding.

This forum is a terrific resource for any questions you might have. There is no place like it. You don't have to own a Vespa to join in the fun; there are plenty of folks with other brands who frequent here and ask questions about non-Vespa scoots.
