Say hypothetically someone has a crazy idea to add hydraulics and lowered suspension to a vintage vespa... ROFL emoticon

There would be a few technical issues to achieve this:

1) Lowered suspension. What's the lowest suspension that can feasibly fit in a frame and still be rideable

2) how to modify that suspension to work with hydraulics

3) where to fit the hydraulics and reservoir

4) powering the hydraulics

5) finding the suitable 50s-60s era model to work with.

6) can you imagine how f'n hard it would be to ride a hopping 8" vespa!

It would be totally worth it just to see it once! Might be the most epic theme build ever.

Just type the words Indonesia and Vespa into a search engine, and you'll see that anything that you could imagine has already been done. Old hat be that.

With all the due respect to the crazy idea, not fun, not worthy, definitively not "the most epic" theme, a total waist of time.

Just IMHO

I tried to get Greasy to do this just recently, but he didn't go for it.

It'd be a lot of work for one joke, but if it's the journey, not the destination, I'd love to see it.

first of all, I'll do pretty much anything if the money is right and I don't have to live with it or ride it around. but, it's not like hydro equipped lo-riders were known for handling. low and slow baby.

but in regards to a blue plate, I believe that they were only available in 7 digit variants. the last vestige being the black plate three on three until '69 and with some very rare exceptions of vanity plates those are all just made for production.

anyway, I'd be down to make a tail dragger. just don't ask me to ride it.
