This is one of the things I really enjoy about year-round riding. The further you get outside of the "goldilocks zone," the more honestly friendly everyone tends to be. There's no club or bike affiliation rivalry when you're both waving at the other psycho who's just as crazy as you to be riding in this cold/heat/muck/wilderness/etc.

This too. I've found when out riding in the winter there is 100 percent compliance in a wave.

since I have moved to AZ, most weeks I take a long ride with a friend of mine who rides a Harley. As the weather here is mostly good we often see a lot of other riders. Generally my friend on the Harley goes first. He will get a wave from most bikers, but as soon as they pass him, the wave disappears before it gets to me. I get an occasional wave but not often. An interesting psychology.
