Love doing things for people that have a family connection to their bikes. Was brought a local VNB for repair, bike had been taken apart by father & son years ago. Father has since passed and now middle aged son wants the bike put back together to honor his father.

Trying to save as much of its history, I worked on putting back together the legshield and fender. The bike had been involved in an accident in the mid 60's.

Damn fine work as always.

Was the legshield torn where you repaired it, or just really bent?

top of the legshield torn and beat pretty bad. the bottom right of the legsheild was badly damaged due to the accident.

Hope the owner takes the blue off and back to the grey. <3.

My VBB was in pretty much the same state when I started my teardown. The legshield was bent & torn when I got it, but dent in the legshield was my fault.
