I have two empty Douglas engine casings that I wish to get built (UK Based).
I am assuming that they are GS150 compatible, serial No's 0338649 & 07634844.

As the build will require just about everything, bearings, crank, clutch, topend etc, I was wondering on the build options.
Anyone able to list the options available from a standard build, to power upgrades, rough prices would be great.

Thanks

What do you mean GS compatible?

You have a GS150 and want to hang these cases under there? Bear in mind a GS is 10" and these cases normal hold a 8" wheel.

If so do you have the original GS swingarm, i believe that is different from the standard wideframe swingarms. plus the brackets and attachement location of the suspension is different.

this exploded view shows the differences:

On closer inspection, they are different.
Is there a video or website explaining the widebody engines?

Yes, I have 2 frames GS150 VS5 & a Clubman Vb1T, that require engines.

I have two swing arms, one has two pivots for the brake shoes, the other has one

rough price?

all of the monies.

or £ + ∞ (I think that translates)

stateside I know but a handful of guys that not only would take that on but could do it, and two of them are dead.

so in the UK? two handfuls of guys and five of them are dead (exchange rate and all that).

this is gonna be a long road man. at the end your feets are gonna be bruised and your wallet light. best of luck!

Biggest difference starting with i believe the VM1T in 1953 was the two ports opposed to one port in the models before.

You have a two ported casing and a one ported casing. The two ported casing is suitable for some decent tuning. Just google wideframe tuning and you will find loads of information.

The one ported casing is not so suited.

differences between 125 wideframe and the GS150:

GS has 10" wheels instead of 8" meaning different different brakes wheels etc.
Different suspension bracket and one piece shockabsorber instead of seperate damper and spring
GS has 4 gears instead of 3
I also believe the GS has wider side panels, but cant confirm this one

the overal main body is almost the same as the 125 (not the gastank at least) meaning your casings should fit your GS.
