Hello everyone,
I'm from Cali LA
Recently purchased Piaggio MP3 2008 400cc. Motorcycle riding perfectly. Today I had a issue for a first time with a tilt lock alarm. When I turn a key, it start alarm if system is on. When I ride and I need to stop and let's say I want to activate tilt lock system, immediately activate alarm ( like you would press the horn in same time). System working and no warning lights, just activate alarm every time when need to be use???
Any advise suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks

It's low on fluid in the roller lock tilt lock in front area. It requires fluid top up.

Mine had same issue. I have one in LA also.

So need to remove the clip on V trim around the Windsceen and swivel it out of way , remove the 5 screw holding the screen on

Remove the black panel and you will see a fluid bottle , top it up

Some say to bleed etc. I never do that.

Then I think you will find after a bit of riding and using system it's fixed and horn alarm gone.

There are many posts with pictures

I just jumped in quickly to comfort you and say it's easy and common

We should go for a ride when I am in Los Angeles in a month or so

Yes that is the tilt lock hydraulic system reservoir, and yes you do use dot 4 brake fluid.

Was it low level

It's sometimes after topping up takes a day of riding to reinvigorate and self bleed itself. This bottle is the shock absorber lock mechanism , as it locks the front shocks hard , when you apply the roller front tilt.

So need to let it self bleed with use and riding

But that will stop your horn sounding

Hi all,
Unfortunately it didn't help after riding 40 miles alarm is still on. I did check fluid level it was slightly below and I decided to add more since fluid was Crystal clear. Checked fluid twice after riding, level was great. There is no sign of external leak.
Any further suggestion please fill free to add. I will be more than happy to test it.
Thank you all
Alex

Did you activate the switch. As it's the front shock lock. Maybe on off a few times.

Seems wierd it didn't fix it. Especially as it was down a bit. It doesn't need to be down much I found.

Maybe others got a hint.

You need to bleed the system. It's not hard, just order a 100cc syringe and the proper size tubing. Bleed from the hydraulic solenoid on the shock to the reservoir.
