I'm still not tracking...do you mean breaking the end of the 50's smaller diameter taper crankshaft stub off because of all the additional horsepower of a 103 kit?

Sorry but i dont know how to proper transfer you what my mechanic told me. My English are not very good. I think he meant that the dr 102's power (6port) make damage at the bearing at the end of shaft that holds the piston pin.

Nah. If you have a connecting rod with needle bearing, it will handle the power of 102 just fine.

Well he did it, and this thing is the BOMB! It's pretty fast now, no problem at all keeping up w/ my 125 smallies or even my P200 when we raced around down at the port. Congrats, Panoz!!!
Here's the bike now, notice the authentic US tractor tail light!

We still need to make some of those internally tapped weird screws to fit the proper headlite setup.

Local meetup Panoz just told me about, hoping I may meet Safis there!

I am really glad i come and meet you on your "giafka" at Piraeus. As Terry said all the parts mentioned above fitted in the engine. Now it revs up easier but i think the primary gear is wrong. I feel like the scoot now is too short. I have the front headlight but i need a couple of screws set to fit it.
Terry on the other hand is as always. A teenagers spirit in an "old mans" (as he keeps saying all the time) body.
When i arrived at his "giafka" he was waiting for me to show me how i can easily adjust gear cables. He was on his knees and was explaining to me how to easier do the job.
What a guy!

I have some measurements for you, in case you have a friend with a drill press and a tap set:

Square nut M5 14mm square-ish OD x 4mm thick. It's shaped on one side, flat on the other. Not necessary.
Headlight fixing screw M5 x 13mm, tapped inside for the bezel screw.
Bezel screw M3 x 7mm

Thanks so much Ray! That's just the info I needed and the closeup pic refreshed my memory perfectly. I'm off to the screw shop to get a few screws, and borrow a 3mm tap.

What primary it is?

Congrats with the build! Scoot looks very stylish.

we use word "giafka" or "yiafka" as it pronounced for a place, in your case, that are gathered vespas and spare parts. also for your case not necessary illegal staff but i think you already got the meaning
