took out clutch stripped replaced springs metals n corks rebuilt it all n rode off in 1 1/2hrs ...... thought that was good goin

Ya prick bitsa. Clutch started dragging like fuck. So bought corks and stripped the clutch. Them remembered i last rebuilt it with malossi clutch plates. Much thinner steels. So won't work with standard corks. So after looking for standard clutch plates for an hour no joy. Then said fuck it, I'll build a cosa. Made a brew before I tried it. Then I found the plates for the original. Then rebuilt it. Then the clutch cable outer broke through the top hat at the lever. So had to take the bloody headset apart. Everything that could have went wrong did

Little bird shat on my Vespa yesterday so I gave her a good wash when I got home. Looking clean but noticed paint is peeling from floorboards and some rust. Thinking about attempting a home paint job at the end of the season.

Glad to see this resurrected elsewhere. I don't post often/ever but, I eagerly soak in all that is bollox.

today i found out i cant weld .... did fill the rear light hole with metal n then finished it off with some glass filler .... now its got a smooth arse ready for lights cutting in .......
been thinkin is there a way to put tail/brake bulbs in the indicators wi tother bulb

... being the budding electrician I am... I was having troubles with blowing my headlight bulb and tail light running bulb..

I took a CLOSER look at the diagram, moved the wires on my regulator and that fixed my problem..

... but.. I had blown the last headlight bulb I had and I didn't want to wait for my order to come in a week, so I went into resourceful mode, destroyed the blown bulb.. kept the mounting ring, and modified another type of 12v bulb to fit.. and it works!

I'm just so thrilled w/ myself.

I've just spent half an hour looking for a thread where the guy had a auto and changed his front indicators. Under normal conditions they were white and bright, when he put the indicators on they flashed yellow. It was all in the same bulb. Needless to say I couldn't find it.

You want to have a single tail/brake that flashes yellow when you indicate, right?
There was a name for them I just can't think of. Let your inner bodger fly free! I like it!

I need red running light ..... red brake light .... n yellow indicator that can work all the same time ..... I know how to make it work just need to make a pod to sit it all in n wire it n still make the panel removable

Today I flew into Providence, RI and had Retroguy show me around as payback for having to read his 27 page thread. Drank at the oldest bar in the nation- 1673, saw Plymouth Rock, ate lobsters and got his V90 project running! Videos to follow.

Fit 90/90 tires on the P for some extra gearing. Traded the spare 3.5x10 for a 3x10 in order to have easier spare installs.

Replaced the fuel tank lid on the P to try to address a fuel delivery problem that got better when I cracked the lid.

Fabbed up a mount for my fuel jerry can on the smallframe. Pictures to follow once paint dries and I install.

Thought about trading out the 20.20 carb out on the P for my new 24.24 but it's hot out there! Another day for that one.

Scooter con ride today. We cruised the streets of downtown s.d. for comic con. Probably the most people I've seen downtown.....evah!

Actually was fun and shifty may have outnumbered twisty on this one which was nice.

managed to strip the threads on the flywheel nut effed about with a 3 leg puller and a ground down ring spanner 2 hours to get the nut off numerous spanner bastards and the crank is knackered too

Finished this up. Less likely to run out of fuel now.

I formed up a fork stop on the Super fork I'm putting into my VBB to replace the bent-ass original fork.

I tapped a M8-1.25 bolt into it, then formed up the rest of it with JB Weld. I'm curious to see how it holds up long term.



When I was test-fitting, the extra Super stop didn't interfere with turning, so I left it in place for now.

Other than that, it was not put-the-scooter-by-the-pool hot, but it was in the upper 90's with high humidity, which is killing heat here in Chicago for some reason. We had storms through tonight, though, and it's pretty nice out right now.

thanks, I went simple. Scrap OSB and a jigsaw + extra spray paint = mounting for fuel!

I like it too.. Xtra gas is good.. Good one John
