I had temporarily removed the foot pegs for a reason I forget and while they were off I thought "maybe I could replace them with grills since they have never been used".

Made a model in Blender that is a similar grill pattern to the radiator grills in the legshield and attached them with a generous amount of silicone sealant as a sort of glue (hence the pink tabs in the 3d model). Here's the results:

Very cool!

Were you able to maneuver them in place, or did the floorboard have to come up to "glue" from behind?

I was able to manoeuvre it during testing of my design, that's why I placed the tabs only at the ends. But I did final install with the floorboard up because I had to do that anyway to replace a coolant hose

same spacing but not exactly the same shape (curve/slope). tried to make the same as the side grills but couldn't get it exactly because the 3d printer can't do as smooth a finish as the side grills. so tinkered with my model until it looked good enough when printed.
