If memeory serves the yours uses the 180cc LEADER motor (even though it's acalled the 200) straight swaqp for the 200cc barrell and piston or you could ge for the 218cc kit from Malosii

the beo 200 is dead slow at takeoff. dr. pulley sliders , malossi clutch and variator spring transforms the bike.

Hey, could you elaborate on your experiences? If you posted about it in detail I'd be greatful. It was your scoot? Did you do it all at once?

I've got an '08 Scarabeo 200 as well. Mine has the "Rotax" engine with the 181cc top end. You can tell which engine you have by the shape of the cylinder head, the location of the oil filter cartridge, or a stamping on the cylinder itself which reads "Gilardoni".
I've gotten over 80mph (130kph) on my 'beo before. The twin cam pulls great above 50mph (80kph) but is a bit pokey below that speed. In a way, it reminds me of my '88 VW Scirocco 16V: no great shakes at low speeds, but impressive pull at higher speeds.
I've made a few minor mods from stock to improve the low end without sacrificing top speed. I changed the pilot jet from a #36 to a #38, put in a +20% Polini contra spring in the rear sheave and changed the clutch pill springs to Polini green. Much better off the line, but it might benefit from changing to the next-stiffest set of pill springs in the kit.
One problem I haven't worked out yet is the hill climbing performance. The engine's lack of low-end torque is remarkable on a 7% grade or more and it will nearly grind to a halt on a 10% grade. Dropping roller weight seems like the logical choice, but doing so has a more dramatic impact on top speed than some other scoots. Other options would be to try a stiffer-still contra spring (Polini offers a +25% version) or maybe pull the flywheel and shave about 10-11% of the perimeter mass off with a lathe. The latter is much more involved than a spring change and would require a re-balance of the flywheel afterwards.
There was a very competitive '09 Scarabeo 200 in the '25 Cannonball. I haven't spoken to the rider directly, but a friend who did run said the fella had upgrade the carburetor to a 30mm CVK and done something with the cams.
Part #s:
Pill Springs - Polini 245.030
Conta Spring - Polini 34018
