Modern Vespa

Hey everyone,

New to vespa and looking for an order of operation to check and see if I can diagnose what the issue is. Again 2021 150s Vespa.

1. Some tried to move my vespa to park their car and took it of the stand and they couldn't figure out how to get it back on the stand. They ended up dropping it twice and then leaving. It was laying on the gearbox side for about 6 hours.

2. When I came to it there was some gas on street.

3. Tried to start it. It will start after about 15 seconds of hold the ignition down. Will hold an idle for a while but will die after a while. Tried giving it some throttle for about 60sec and when it returns to idle it dies right away.

Any ideas on what the cause could be. Doing a order for some parts just want to make sure im getting everything I need. Thinking it could be the air filter.

Check your EVAP system.

Is your 2021 not still under warranty? Take it to a shop. Might be cheaper than throwing parts at it and won't void your warranty.

And what a huge bummer. So sorry for your loss. Moved your scooter and dropped twice! So so sorry!

Try pulling the air filter. It may be flooded with oil/ gas. See if it runs better with the filter out. May just need a new clean, oiled filter.

If that's not it, take it to a shop. In the EVAP system, there's a charcoal filter and a rollover valve that cut fuel to the system. Those might need replacement/ inspection before things will work right.
