Modern Vespa

This weekend I took a friend on the back of the GTS to Tenby and back which was a round trip of nearly 400 miles and my thoughts when I get home are,


The 300 HPE engine is an absolute dream two up going up hills, the speedo was indicating 70mph going up a pretty steep and long incline, very impressive.

Comfort for me was really good, being a Vespa leg room and the ability to move your feet position is always a plus but pleasantly surprised on the comfort of the Super Sport seat.

Fuel economy was a another plus, comfortably over a 100 miles before the fuel light comes on.

Only negative I need to address is the passenger foot pegs were not only getting in my way when coming to a stop but the passenger was complaining of their feet slipping on them. Will the foot peg extenders rectify both these problems?


Overall what a great Scooter and I'm so glad I sold my geared two stroke and bought the GTS.

Foot peg extenders will surely help !!!! Not very expensive from AliExpress. (30cdn) Solved the problem for me.

It's great to read such a positive review for the exact same Vespa I have (including that fantastic matte blue!)

Yes! If you are planning more rides like this with a passenger you will not regret the foot peg extenders.

I don't carry pillion passengers, but if you are going to regularly ride 2-up I think they are a must have.
