Does anyone know which colour code is this grey?

Is that you and your PX in the photo?? If yes, check for a silver sticker near the chassis VIN number. The colour code should be on it...

I know the colour, can't remember its name or code...

Nope, not mine.doing a full paint job and considering that colour - but I cannot find its code!

Reminds me of "Grigio Smoky 731/A"...

Looks the same as mine, don't know the code off the top of my head, but I'll have a look in the garage tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it may not be a color available in all countries. Probably it was in the States, not in Australia tho.
People claim it was a 2004/2006 colour, so for only a relatively short period.
Any help (especially if the vespa has not been respected, hence the colour code is still there) would be absolutely fantastic!

PX125 catalysed to Quattrini 181 sleeper

It is the Grigio Smokey 731/A.

I would probably go with Standox basecoat - as PPG lately has really gone down the drain in terms of color matching!

Saw you got yours sorted. Mine is 770/A, but google only finds 770/B. I could do with a few bits being filled in, does anyone know if there's a difference?

Is it an original colour? On the Vespa? Which year?

Generally speaking, I suspect we are talking about nuances in colour - that are likely to be visible though.

If you need a partial respray, try your luck with Standox as in general they are failry accurate in terms of colour matching. Or you will need blending with surrounding parts to mask colour difference.

Unfortunately, by experience, PPG is not that good in that space.

I think it comes down to my practical exposure to painting bikes, and dealing with color codes that are hard to find
Plus, Google will give you different results depending on the country you are in. So, that would have probably been the trick too!
