I've owned Lola (formerly Kristin's–@jimc) for 11 months and 5600 miles. And finally have had the chance to go scooter camping for a night. I think I balanced my load pretty well. Check out my video:

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your video.

How to turn familiar territory into an adventure…ride your Vespa there!

I am new to the Vespa world. Hoping that they are reliable. I've been reading in the general discussion about new bikes not starting, fuel pump issues…and I'm hoping it's not the norm.

So far I've enjoyed the rides I've had.

Wishing you many more miles of fun.

I was lucky, taking over a well-cared-for bike. And Lola must've been one of the many good ones to begin with. I hope all goes well with yours.

@centresmith thank you for posting your overnight camping video. I love the way you have combined stunning scenery with the gastronomic content of your ride, it makes it very watchable. Please will you do another one soon?

kawi_girl, don't give reliability with your new GTS a second thought, the majority of members on this forum are happily riding around on their scooters having a blast with absolutely no issues. The forum is artificially skewed towards people having problems because MV is frequently the first place they turn to for advice. You'll notice that you never find someone making a post saying, 'just checking in to say my Vespa is running like a dream'. Sadly many members just join so they can resolve an issue and then you never see them post again.

Centersmith,

Great Video. Very good ride story and excellent video technique.
That was some amazing culinary for camping. We must refer to
you as Chef Centersmith.

When I camped years ago, it was Dinty Moore Beef Stew heated in
the can over an open fire.

Thanks for sharing.

Aw shucks. DInty Moore stew is my jam, normally, but I've been inspired lately watching UnRoof moto camping videos (Japan). The guy has a different style, and is obviously marketing his own line of gear, but poetic nonetheless.
