Need an advice from you guys...

My 300 GTS will be sold and since we're talking about FL, there's some corrosion / oxidation here and there. I've calculated about $350.- investment just to improve the overall appearance.

It's a 2018 model with 18,000 miles on the clock. Serviced at the local dealership so that part is covered but rust is rust: mirrors, passenger footpegs, the badge on the legshield... stuff like that.

Would you invest to get more $$$ or mileage counts only and small cosmetics mentioned above are less of a factor?

Thanks a lot for your opinions!

Is there rust on the body or only on the chrome parts ?
my 2c you can replace or clean up the mirrors, pegs and shield fairly inexpensively.
if there is rust-through on the body then might not pay to put in extra money unless you want to clean the whole thing up.

I wouldn't worry about oxidisation/tarnishing of metal surfaces, it's normally expected in a humid climate like yours. Give the paintwork a good polish, paying attention also to the wheels and underbody area, and give the engine bay a gentle clean (no high pressure hosing) with an engine degreaser and a gentle spray of water to clean it off.

What by far is most important is service history to show that the scooter has been looked after mechanically.

My 2 cents as I have bought and sold many: get it show room clean and running perfectly. Since it has been maintained at your dealer, the latter is already done. Put it up for a fair deal and be willing to drop the price $350 you calculated to an serious in person buyer that has cash. My logic is that if a buyer probes enough, they could find something they don't like anyway. If you want to put in the work, there are several was to get rid of some of the rust, but I would not bother. As I lived if South Florida most of my life, rust was a constant nuisance. A prospective buyer would be aware of it as well. If you price it right, it will move. Good luck with your sale

Cosmetics aren't everyone's priority but make sure the scoot starts, runs and stops well.
I kind of enjoy sprucing up a used bike as much as new bike buyers enjoy farkling theirs.
