Out-there question, anyone ever silver-leaf their scoot? I randomly have a pack of silver leaf and some glue and a brush made for the task. And I have a flat-black rat Stella. I was thinking of silver-leafing the front of the leg shields on one side, kind of like a fat racing stripe. I'm curious if anyone has tried anything similar, and what the technique is...

I'm curious as well.. but I was trying to figure out how to do it with specific patterns in specific colors.. not just silver and not just random textured.

Hoping someone responds with info!

Silver / gold leafing, engraving, etc. is common in the UK (Mods and such). Never seen anything similar in other countries…

https://m.roadkillcustoms.com/how-to-apply-gold-leaf-to-your-paint-job/

its common in the really swanky hot rod world - I work in an architectural metal shop that has done some of it - it's pretty straight forward. Mask, apply adhesive, blot it on and brush off the rest and then figure out a way to seal it up. I think it can go under regular clear coat but I'd call some paint shops/check hot rod forums and ask around

No teapot, just increasingly embarrassed to be driving an "Amish black" scooter! Silver leaf would indicate that I have some style.
