How many BV 400 owners are we up to? I just picked mine up yesterday. I saw someone else start this thread with the 350 and it got a lot of responses — thought we could use a version for the next generation.

After a short 80 miles I've determined I HAVE to come up with a windshield solution. I work on pianos and can't deal with the sound. Debating an extension or all-out replacement but don't see anyone talking about it. I'm 6'0" and the noise is painful.

Also debating a new top box, or modifying the brackets I have to install an old SW Motech box.

What about the rest of you?

Picked up the BV400 S beginning of April. Rides so much better than previous BV500 and BV350. Shocks better, corners handled better, acceleration better, wife doesn't complain about the ride as much on the way to work (Manhattan North to South every day).... Great improvement over previous BV's. Critical comments:
1. Turn signal loose, noticed one day after delivery, impossible to tighten unless you take apart the front and rear steering covers - which was easy on the BV 2007 and 2016 - but on the 2022 the bodywork is so interlaced that to take off the leg shield you have to remove footrests and side fairings. And getting the handlebar covers off? I cannot crack the code... and the service manual doesn't even cover it (the service manual has less detail than previous years). If anybody knows how to get it off....
2. The front glove compartment looks like it is never closed/securely latched - obvious gap that invites vandals to break into it and take things, which has happened once in 6 weeks. What, does Italy have no street crime? Facepalm emoticon Force it open with a good yank - plastic latch breaks right off... maybe a little metal in key places?
3. The digital dash is boring 'Grey on Grey' that, while better bzw. more comprehensive than previous analogue versions, is just a missed opportunity to do 2022 as it should be done (not as a retro minesweeper video game color scheme interface).
4. Mods done so far:
a. cut down GIVI windscreen so that it doesn't rest on turn signals (GIVI windscreen designed for Euro model with turn signals in leg rest)
b. additional driving lights low on the front fork and Admore lightbar below the topcase, as well as brake modulator and LED red running lights bolting the license plate on.
5 Want to get the headlight modulator in, as well as magic genie blinker into running light BUT can't figure out how to get the handlebar covers off and headlight assemble apart.... anybody know how to do this?
6. Due to crime rate in NYC and open season of theft with no consequences (neighbor had his 2019 BV350 stolen night after mine was vandalized), I've added a GPS tracker (Trak-4 wired into battery w/$9 monthly fee), alarm, disk lock and heavy chain locked to immovable post (looking forward to living someplace that ain't a Mad Max zone).
So how many BV400s have we got out there?

Not man, man. I just crossed 400 miles with mine. I haven't changed anything but ditching the windshield altogether. It's a much quieter ride.

I'm still trying to figure out how to add a rack.

And I'll second the bummer on the glove box. A lot of the plastic doesn't line up well at all. It's a fun ride though.

All I'm going to do is put heavier rollers to lower RPM on the highway and get better MPGs and a bit more top end.

Two questions:

What dog carrier do you use? I'd like to find a better one than the "outward hound" carrier I currently use.

What is the actual stock top speed?

If you can't deal with the sound of Pianos (i can't either) how about working on Guitars, Electric of course.
