Modern Vespa

Hello!

This is my 2022 GTS 300HPE (almost 2000 miles) this problem just started occurring, it stopped for a few minutes one day, and now seems constant. I live 4 hours from the dealer so I'm hoping it's something I can fix.

The fuel amount blinks (both lowest indicator and top line indicator along with the gas indicator. All off and on together.

Any ideas?

Uhh...huh. Odd.
Does it do this regardless of fuel level? How low do you typically let your fuel get before filling?

My first thought is, since it's a digital gauge, it's the equivalent of a fault code...stuck float or whatnot and it can't read fuel level, so blinking to indicate "error error."

Full transparency, this is speculation on my part.

Yes, regardless of actual fuel level. I filled it up before about a 60 mile r/t and then to be safe - filled it again today. I speculate as well that it's some sort of electrical / wiring issue. I was hoping to not have to take it to the dealership but alas, I didn't bring it in for the first 600 mile tune up - because I change the oil myself; and just didn't have the time to do the 4 hour journey. I'll have time this summer though.

On a Honda I own, that pattern indicates a fault with the fuel sender unit (or circuit/connections). I think it's the same for Vespa, based on this thread: https://modernvespa.com/forum/post1648084#1648084

Thanks, I've seen some potential solution threads of it being a loose connection - but I don't know where that is on my machine, and would love to fix it (assuming it's reachable)

Hello – yeah I guess you could say so. I had to drive it all the way to the dealership and they repaired it I'm not sure what it was either a part or a lose cable they didn't really say.
