I figured there was a good reason I couldn't find anything on the webs about the swap.
if you were going to do it, I wouldn't be the wrost thing in the world. the availability of parts and information now would make it fairly straight forward.
for me the trickiest part was the crank. well, that and the math. but the crank was a gargantuan pain in the ass. just finding somebody that was willing to do the work was a whole lot of phone calls and: hell no
anyway, if I were to go it again, I'd probably only want to do a smallie motor and I'd use an updated cylinder, like a KX125, TZ125 or something aprillia and just absolutely bonkers.
either way, I'd definitely approach it differently by welding the cases and then using an aluminum adapter plate to mate the cylinder.
maybe one day, I'll try and get it going again. or Charlieman will come and shove a sack of $5 bills and a crate of cheap vodka at me and I'll just load it into the sidecar.
