Hi. I want to drop the front fork on my 2003 ET4 and wondered if anyone in or near Brighton could lend me the tool for undoing the top nut? Happy to leave a sizeable deposit so you know I won't run off with it!

I appreciate this is my first post, but up till now I have not needed anything in my restoration, other than reading very many of the really useful posts here.

Thanks in advance

I just use a drift to turn it. You just have to use a bit of judgement when winding it down again.

Channel lock pliers also work well.

I use hook spanners from my bicycle tools.

yellow paint the threads before tossing the nut this should give you a pretty good reference mark when tightening it back down.

Thanks all. I have one of those bicycle tools, didn't realise it would fit. I also have plumbers wrench, tap wrench and several mole grips, plus dremmels screwdriver and some hammers. I must be able to do it with one of these!

Thanks for the suggestions.
