Almost 15K miles on the bike and never had a problem until a week ago when i got home and noticed the rear wheel is stuck when trying to push the bike by hand to park it. Since last transmission service was done at 8K miles, I decided to just go ahead and overhaul the transmission. Found the clutch assembly nut has come undone and was rubbing against the clutch bell. After all done i test rode the bike, what a difference new parts make, it rides so smooth.

You can see where the nut rubbed on the clutch bell and caused the rear wheel to lock up.

Great work and nice clear pictures, thanks for sharing. I just wonder how the clutch nut came loose in the first place? - Did you use locktite on reassembly?

Well done. It is always interesting to see visual evidence that reveals the cause of a problem.

Agreed! I find these kinds of mechanical step-by-step breakdowns (no pun intended) fascinating.

Thanks for sharing and glad your scoot's back up and running!

Good man. And lucky man - I hate to think what would have happened if it had locked up at speed. Kudos
