Hi Guys, sorry to jump in with a request for help but I'm hoping experience will save me anymore going around in circles.

My Gt200l starts cold and runs well even when fully warm. If switched off hot it will restart instantly if only left for less then 5 mins. If left longer it it doesn't want to start. It cranks well and appears to have a good spark. If I continue to crank after about 4 or 5 attempts it will start and then runs and rides great. Vacuum pipes to pump and tap are good. Fuel pump works when it's been tested. Auto choke has low resistance but does function ( couldn't find length specs in manual ) mixture screw 2.5 turns out.

What I have noticed is the idle mixture is a little high even if I turn the screw all the way in ( auto choke issue ??? )

Also take a look at the rubber carb manifold. Next to valves, as mentioned, it sounds like a possible small air leak.

There's no air leaks that I can see, hear or test for with brake cleaner . I've not checked valve clearance but I should really. Just changed fuel pump, fuel lines, filter and cleaned carb. Just started fine after fuelling up but will test over the weekend. Thanks.
