Hi all ,
I have just purchased a 2016 Piaggio Fly 50 2T as a non runner. I got it going yesterday and it runs a treat. However trying to start it from cold is very difficult. I can squirt a bit of fuel down the carb and get it going and once fired up there's no problem. Is there an easy way of checking the automatic choke? Any thing else I should check? Since I got it I drained fuel tank and refilled with 98 , new plug , removed and cleaned carb , cleaned air filter. Any help appreciated. As u said once warm it starts easy both on kick and electric start, it's a 2016 model.

I think I was just impatient, got it going after kick-starting 10 or so times rapidly. Then it's started fine.
