I ordered the after-market slip-on exhaust from Akrapovic for my 2022 Vespa 300 GTS HPES-VE3SO10-HZDFBL through my local dealer in Toronto. It took 9 months to arrive (supply chain).

I finally got around to doing the install today and realized that the mid pipe is far too short to reach the header. The mid pipe from the original exhaust is not removable so I couldn't use that. I didn't see more than one option on the Akrapovic website so I'm not sure if there are different versions for North America and Europe. Is there a mid pipe I can buy to make this work?

Is there a different exhaust configuration for North American bikes? I feel like there must be (or I'm missing something really obvious).

I feel like you guys are gonna school me.

I should have taken pics but I had put the original exhaust back on before I realized I should post here.

Oh man, I think you got the Euro pipe. This same thing happened to a friend of mine. The option was getting the correct pipe or sending it back. His was to short as well. Now the difference is HE ordered the wrong pipe. It sounds like the dealer ordered the wrong part so I think it'd be there issue unless you specified that pipe. Was this the dealer you purchased bike from originally? If so you'd hope they knew what they needed. Good luck...

Last I checked, Europe have Euro5 exhaust systems that have different midpipes+header vs the Euro4 systems on North America and the rest of the world. I don't think the rest of the world have started getting euro5 bikes yet.

the year of the bike is misleading when ordering. what matter is euro4 vs euro5.

Note: I believe a Euro4 exhaust header (+lambda or adapter for different threadsize which I think SIP sells) can be installed on a Euro5 bike and then a Euro4 exhaust + midpipe can be used.
