Hey guys— new here!

I've wanted a vespa for quite some time, always admired them but never took the plunge. However, the last $100 tank of gas in my two door car really threw me over the deep end LOL.

I immediately went to the DMV got my motorcycle permit, and am taking my basic rider course at the end of June to get my road test waiver— as in NY, you need a motorcycle license for above 50cc, and I definitely want a 150….

Excuse my rant below, but hear me out LOL…

I've always admired the 946, but have had no luck finding a used one… I went to vespa Brooklyn to check out the new ones but I'm really torn on sprint vs primavera, mostly because of color combos… I really think the black seat of the sprint looks better. I'm also a huge techie, so I am kinda being lured to the primavera 150S but I don't love the color choices on that!

Yellow is not my fav color, but for some reason the yellow sprint with the black seat looks so good to me! I also love the monochromatic look of the red primavera 150, but kinda hate that it would be project red branded.

So here is what I've narrowed it down to, what would you go with and why?

Sprint 150 - white
Sprint 150 - yellow
Primavera 150 Project Red
Primavera 150S - blue

I hate the blue, but it's the lesser hated and would get it for the digital display only— is it worth it?

Look forward to your feedback!

I'm partial to the Vespa and it's iconic look. Every where I go, someone stops and asks questions about it. A Vespa is a Vespa, everything else is just a scooter. : )

OK, a vintage Lambretta, that's a whole other category of cool.

If I did a 150 Vespa it would be orange or the white with the red racing stripes. I have a Liberty with the same motor. The iGet motor is simple, reliable and easy to service. Let us know what you picked.

Agree on all counts and I'd go with the yellow.

Now vintage Lammies are my absolute favourite. Of the things I regret selling my Lambrettas when I moved back to Canada from the US is one of them.

There has never been a better time for scooter choises and quality. If Vespa is what you want my advise is to never get anything 50cc regardless of what brand. You want at least a 125cc-150cc 4 stroke and preferibly a fuel injected.

I owned a GTSie 300 before, they are quick and fast, more than you ever needs for New York but they are also very expensive. The GTS 300 are big too, long wheelbase, tall. The 150cc are great size and you save a good chunk of money compared to the 300cc.

There are other great high quality brands in the market that don't break the bank and have good reputation. Are you stuck on just Vespa?

I've been riding Vespas for about 15 years, it's my main source of transportation which is convenient since I'm in Honolulu. I'm on my 4th Primavera and just got the 150S in the matte blue only because of the digital screen, it was the only color available when I was shopping. It's the only bike that I've had a major issue with and that was the fuel pump failing after having it for about 4months. It was under warranty so it wasn't a big deal.
The only big deal with the digital screen is knowing the temperature at all times which would be nice if driving in different seasons.
The app for music and phone access doesn't have great reviews so I haven't used it yet. I have my wireless apple earbuds that I use for music and phone calls.
All in all, I love Vespa, my husband got hooked after a trip to Rome so I finally got my own after riding with him on his bike for a couple years. Now when we can We ride together going into work, coming home and the weekends. He rides the 300 I believe.
I get between 85-90miles per gallon and with gas prices now, it's only $10 to fill up. 😬

Does the dealer have each of the models/colors you listed in stock and on the floor? Can you ride them or at least sit on them?

If it were me, I'd make the decision based on time spent with each bike. Even if they are produced in large numbers, each bike is going to have it's own character. Pick the one that feels right to you and don't look back.

The four models he listed (copied below) are all essentially the same scooter mechanically and structurally, differing only in styling and colors. It comes down to a matter of personal preference.

Sprint 150 - white
Sprint 150 - yellow
Primavera 150 Project Red
Primavera 150S - blue

Considering that I own two GTSs, one white the other, newer yellow, my choices are obvious.

I read that. I've also ridden same spec 300's that have a different feel.

My point exactly. Which is why I suggested that the OP picks the one that feels right.

Personally i love my TFT dash and Bluetooth telemetry and nav on my Supertech. Being able to show rpm and temp and phone notifications is also nice (custom Android app)
